E-Commerce Services on www.cit.com
We have updated the CIT web site www.cit.com to include the E-Commerce Services page for access to all your client applications. The same Client Information System (CIS), Client Internet Reporting (ReportWeb), Client Messages and other information is now available as part of www.cit.com.
The current www.citcommercialfinance.com web site will be retired at the end of March. In the meantime both citcommercialfinance.com and cit.com will be available in parallel. Starting April 1, 2010 all access to citcommercialfinance.com will be automatically redirected to the E-Commerce Services page of cit.com.
All current ids and passwords to your various applications remain the same. Nothing on the applications has changed. The only change is the web site from which you access the systems.

Tips and Techniques
Data Transmission Status:
Both CIS and the "classic" client systems contain information showing real time status of client data transmissions.
Select the Transmission Control screen (under the Data Exchange menu on CIS) to view a summary listing of all client data transmissions. The screen defaults to all data types, but you can select a specific file type to focus on certain information. We recommend all clients that transmit to get in the habit of checking the status of every data transmission to ensure we have successfully received and processed your invoice assignments or orders.
The Transmission Control screen will also identify any REJECTED transmissions and pinpoint the details of the data elements that caused the rejection.

CIS Customer Selection:
Hopefully you have found the vast amount of customer information available on the Client Information System helpful. The CIS user interface offers several tools that allow you to find and select the customer you are interested in. The quickest way to select a customer is to use the Customer selection boxes located just below the menu bar next to the date and time stamp. The shorter box to the left allows you to enter the seven-digit CIT customer number. The longer box to the right allows you to enter your own customer number. We maintain a cross-reference table so if you know your own customer account numbers you do not really need to know the CIT customer account numbers. Simply click your cursor into the longer box, key in your own customer account number, hit the <tab> or <enter> key and CIS will locate the customer account. The customer name will display along with the CIT customer number and your client customer number. This becomes the default customer as you navigate the various customer screens. To change the customer simply key in a different customer number and the screen will update with the newly selected customer's information.
Of course if you navigate to the Client screens the selected customer does not really apply. It is just sitting there waiting for you to navigate back to some customer screens.
If you do not know your customer number or the CIT customer number we offer several customer search screens. For more information about this topic or anything else related to CIS, Client Internet Reporting, Data Transmissions, etc. please contact our Client Support Services Help Desk at 800-248-9089 x2222.
CIS and Microsoft Internet Explorer 8:
If you have updated your internet browser to IE 8 you may have noticed problems accessing the various menu items within CIS. For the menu items to function properly you will need to enable the Compatibility View for the cis.cit.com website. Click the Compatibility View toolbar button located next to the Refresh button on the Address Bar. The Compatibility View button looks like a torn sheet of paper with the upper right corner folded down. If you do not see the Compatibility View button you can use the Tools menu and select the Compatibility View option. Either way, once you are in the Compatibility View Settings dialogue, add https://cis.cit.com to the address box and click the "Add" button. Close this dialogue window. You will probably be kicked back to the CIS logon screen. Simply log on and the CIS menus should work as expected.
Client Internet Reporting:
We recently implemented a minor update to the Client Internet Reporting / Report Web system. This resulted in a slight change to some default printing options. When printing some reports that fill up an entire page you may experience the last few lines of a page rolling over to a new page and wasting paper. While viewing the report, to properly fit the information onto each page go into "Printer Preview" mode by clicking the third icon across the top of the screen that looks like a sheet of paper. Within the "Printer Preview" mode click on the "Shrink to fit page height" box located toward the lower right of the screen. The "Printer Preview" mode also allows you to easily change the page setup for portrait or landscape orientation by clicking the "Setup" button toward the upper right of the screen.

The final Cash Notices / Payment Reconciliation Reports with customer check and remittance advices were mailed Friday, October 17, 2008.
The electronic version of this same information is on the new Client Information System (CIS) and has been available on CIS since September 25. See below for details.
Clarification - All daily Cash Activity reports and all other reports that currently publish on the Client Internet Reporting system will remain available exactly as they always have. The printed and mailed hard copy Cash Notice / Payment Reconciliation reports with associated copies of customer checks and remittance advices have been replaced by an online version with the same information. The online version of these Cash Notices with images of associated checks and remittances advices are only available on the new Client Information System - CIS.
What has changed?
No more waiting for mail delivery and opening information that is already a week old. Cash Notices are now available online through the new Client Information System (CIS). All Cash Notices, including images of associated checks and remittance details, are combined into a PDF document overnight and available the next day on CIS. All notices for the same client number are combined in a single PDF.
The Cash Notice automatically opens in the standard Adobe Reader tool. The notice can be opened, viewed, searched, printed and saved.
How do I access Cash Notices?
The Cash Notices are only available online through CIS. If you currently have access to CIS, you automatically have access to Online Cash Notices - now! They are available under the new "Reports" menu option. Click the Reports, Cash Notices menu to enter the Cash Notices page. From here select the Client Number and Date of the notice. The first Online Cash Notices were created on September 25. Use the calendar tool to select any and all notices from September 25 through today.
For updated instructions email us at support.services@cit.com and request a copy of the CIS Cash Notices Guide. We also have an updated complete CIS User Guide.
*** Don't have access to CIS? Please act now! ***
Access to CIS is available via Electronic Commerce Services or by clicking https://cis.cit.com.
CIS User Name
If you have access to the old system, your new CIS User Name includes "CIS" and the last 3 characters in your existing CIT User ID. For example, if your current id is CLCXYZ then your new CIS User Name is CISXYZ.
CIS Password
Your old password did not transfer to CIS. The initial CIS password includes "CIS" and your current Internet Reporting (report.web) six-digit password. For example, if your internet reporting password is 123456, your new CIS password is CIS123456. Note - passwords are case sensitive. Be sure to shift those CIS letters to UPPERCASE.
